Odds & Payoffs
Institutional Insights is the first stock research publication to provide detailed odds and payoffs information along with a specific target price for each recommendation in the service.
The impact for our subscribers is significant:
- Much more educated and informed trading decisions can be made based on knowing clearly defined odds of the ETF price going up versus down.
- Add to that the detailed payoff associated with those odds (to the upside and downside), and investors now have a detailed risk/reward basis for making better decisions about if and when to invest in a given ETF.
Subscribers can select from the top ranked ETFs those with the higher probabilities of price increase in the near term, in order to match their unique risk tolerance.
Tale of two investors:
- In many cases, those ETFs with greater odds of going up in price are balanced by a slightly lower payoff (as one would expect). For the investor that is more risk averse, the tradeoff of higher odds associated with a lower payoff is a fair trade.
- Other, more risk tolerant investors will appreciate the ability to make ETF selections with higher payoffs, accepting the fact that they will likely incur lower odds of a winning trade. If, however, the payoff justifies the odds, it can often prove to be a successful trade-off (Combined Odds & Payoffs).
